Safe relationship support and
exploring Protective Behaviour's across the lifespan.

At MCC we have a specialist skill set working with people with an Intellectual disability and/or Autism diagnosis.

Access to sexual health, safe relationships, intimacy and meaningful connections are rights for everyone, including people with disabilities.

People with a disability are more likely to be sexually harmed than those without. Our goal is to reduce this gap and provide accessible, personal and purposeful psychoeducation.

Our sessions are 1:1, they will involve discussions and activities that aim to reinforce and promote understanding and build confidence in topics around sex, boundaries and consent.
We also provide counselling and a safe space for sexuality and individual wants and needs can be explored.

What topics can be covered:
-Feelings, social networks and discussions around safety networks
-Different types of relationships and what type of touch is appropriate in each
-Listening to our bodies, what to do when we start feeling and experiencing warning signs
-Public and private body parts, places and behaviours
-Additional topics that can be discussed puberty, dating, consent, cyber safety
All service is guided by the individual and their goals.
